Is that 3 s’s at the end of the word “messiness” instead of only 2? That’s the first thing most people notice: the errors and mistakes that you make in your presentation whenever it is a speech or eBook. All of the wonderful facts and statistics that people present can all be ignored because the visitor is still thinking about the mistake that person made.
Everyone notices messiness as if it were the 800 pound gorilla in the room. When you have to program an app or even a simple code, everything has to be precise. If the programmer is off by a single space or character, the project will not work at all. For these programmers, sticking an unnecessary “a” into a 1000 page long code can mess up the entire code even if everything else was correct.
We can’t be perfect, but we shouldn’t be sloppy either because everyone will see it.
